Have you picked up on the fact that I LOVE editorials? It's like getting a peek into another universe where girls prance around in headdresses and carry an antler (why? who cares) while walking barefoot on a road for no particular reason. I would gladly live in this world. It's ironic I fell so deeply in love with this editorial because just a few days ago I was thinking how I may just be ready for this whole native american trend to go away for an extended stay. Don't get me wrong, my inner Texan will never let go of turquoise jewelry, leather, etc. but if I see one more screen printed tank/shirt with a Navajo pattern on it I'm going to scream. You know what I'm talking about...
This editorial breathed new life into the trend though. Metallic jeans, a khaki trench coat, and the military jacket/pants ensemble kept things interesting. It's truly a testament to the beauty of good styling that thinks a little outside the box. I wouldn't have thought to put the khaki trench coat with the fringed sweater and headdress but it works and that's the magical part.
