the ride

I apologize for being M.I.A. although I doubt anyone noticed. It's kind of crazy how much has happened in the past month. This time of my life is interesting because I'm experiencing so many things for the first time and learning so much. I firmly believe that everything happens for a reason and all things come together for a purpose that's bigger than me or what I can understand from my limited perspective but sometimes it's just a drag having to deal with those bumps in the road. I was venting all of this to a friend much wiser than me who reminded me, "it's all part of the ride." Indeed it is.

Speaking of the ride, what did everyone think about the new Lana Del Rey video? I thought it was over the top (not surprising) and just kind of not my thing in general but the shots of her on the tire swing in the desert couldn't have been more beautiful/dreamy. It reminded me of a Richard Prince painting come to life.

I just got back from a much needed road trip to Chicago with one of my best friends. It was just what the doctor ordered and came at exactly the right time. Despite the rain, Chicago stole my heart and I really did not want to leave one bit. Oh, and Topshop? Don't get me started, I have French  homework I should be doing.

Hopefully life will be slowing down soon and I can find some time to update on here more but till then here are some lovely words about fall....
