Ever since I did my trend research project last fall on the Spring collections of Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs I've felt a sense of entitlement to the collections. I mean of course I'm going to love a mod collection with a throwback to the 60's but I honestly didn't expect it to catch on and especially for Spring. It's a very bold and stark trend...almost cold and I didn't think it would be very well received but much to my surprise these collections have been saturating the editorial scene. I've enjoyed seeing the different ways editorials have interpreted this trend and the styling they've used. Most have been fairly predictable (but lovely nonetheless) with white backdrops and false eyelashes that nod to Twiggy but this one from the March issue of Vogue Brazil was like a breath of fresh air. While still keeping with the 60's theme it approaches it from a different angle that gives a lot of warmth to the pieces and makes them seem more accessible for Spring.
