Prom 1

I was far too cool for prom in high school. Truth is, I didn't get asked. THERE I SAID IT! I know, cry me a river. Truthfully, I don't think I was missing much except maybe for the whole getting a dress thing. That I will be forever bitter about. So I have to live vicariously through you little bloggers so don't disappoint me ok? Don't wear one of those wretched dresses covered in sequins and for the love of curly fries don't get a bad spray tan. Looking back on high school I realize that you don't see most of those people ever again (a good thing) so I'm a full supporter of having fun with what you wear and doing something a little off beat.

This first look is inspired by Oscar de la Renta Spring 2013. It's fun, youthful, feminine, and a little edgy. I imagine this to be what Jackie O might wear after a few margaritas. The best part about this whole look though is the hair. You HAVE to do the colored streaks in the hair. It's the u-turn in this lady like look that makes it so brilliant. See while everyone has those silly updos that make them look like a poodle or Mozart you're rocking a beehive with blue streaks. As an American philosopher once said,"YOLO." Free People has some hair chalk that makes it easy to create the look yourself and it washes out the next day.
