It was as if when Vogue wrote this article they were inviting Birkenstocks to sit with them at the cool table and I'm as surprised as you are. I thought we had all agreed that if something said "soles developed by doctors," in the description it could be expected to receive a big sloppy kiss of death from the fashion community. Once again, I'm proved wrong. What's next, Crocs??
But in all seriousness I'm happy to see Birkenstocks making a come back (although I don't know if they were ever really here to start). It warms my heart to see the Vogue girls coming out of the closet about their love and appreciation for comfort.
Let's all make a promise though that we won't let ourselves get so open minded we believe it acceptable to wear Uggs in public. Deal? Deal.
